Frequently Asked Questions

How do I take a tincture?

Tinctures can be taken in a variety of ways. You can take them straight into your mouth, or under your tongue, though this may burn due to the alcohol content. Our favorite way is in about two ounces of water, knocked back. Or you can get fancy and put them in sparkling water. The bottom line is that you need to make sure you take all of the tincture.

Can I combine tinctures?

All of our tinctures can safely be combined. We recommend taking no more than 3 at a time.

Are your products gluten free?

All of our products are technically gluten free. Anything containing milky oats should be approached with caution if you have Celiac’s. I have seen it cause problems for some gluten-sensitive individuals, and leave others feeling great. Other than that, we are all gluten-free!

Where did Lauren study?

Lauren went to the Appalachian Center for Natural Health and obtained a three-year clinical herbalist certification under Phyllis D. Light.

How can i learn more about herbalism?

I recommend reading all books you can get! I love anything by Rosemary Gladstar. The internet is also a wonderful resource, between Youtube and herbalist’s blogs. We have digital programming lined up for launch in 2020…. Stay tuned.

What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns.

Do you ever offer discounts?

We definitely do! The best way to stay informed about discounts is to sign up for our newsletter. We always give them the inside scoop…. All orders might also come with coupons. (Wink, wink.)

How long will my order take to ship?

We do our best to get your orders out as fast as possible, typically within 1-2 business days.

Are your products safe during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding?

We recommend you consult with your trusted healthcare provider before starting a new herbal regimen. We cannot offer this type of advice.

Are your products organic?

99%. All of our botanicals are organic, but we use a certified non-gmo cane spirit as the base of our tinctures. We are in the process of switching that spirit to be certified organic, after which we will pursue organic certification as a brand.

Where do you source your herbs?

We source about 80% of our herbs directly from small organic herb farms. The rest we source from mindful, sustainable herb suppliers, or wildcrafters who wildcraft to order in pristine wilderness spots. We try not to lean heavily on wildcrafted herbs, and never buy wildcrafted on the mass market, but sometimes those meadow elderberries are just too magical to pass up.

Do you have samples?

Because we are a small small business, we do not have a sample program, however, from time to time we’ll make batches of samples and tuck them lovingly in with the orders we’re sending out.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We haven’t had trouble shipping internationally and have sent packages as far as France, Australia, the Netherlands and Singapore. If the rate seems too high for you, please contact us for exact shipping rates. Our website provider doesn’t make it easy!

Are you hiring?

We are not currently hiring but are always curious about who is out there that may be a vital part of the team. If that could be you, send us your resume!
